What is a Fire Truck Pull?
Exactly what it sounds like! For the main event, teams of up to 12 participants compete to see who can pull a fully loaded 33,000 pound fire truck a distance of 100 feet. TIP of WNC is recruiting teams from local law enforcement agencies, fire and EMS departments, sports teams, gyms, businesses and more! Anyone can sign up to compete against the current TIPtug champion team, Asheville Police Department. This family-friendly event includes a health and safety fair, vendors, games, a raffle and food trucks!
All funds raised will benefit TIP
TIP is a team of specially trained volunteers who are called to emergency scenes by public safety personnel to assist members of our community after a sudden trauma, including fatalities or injuries by suicide, overdose, motor vehicle accident, homicide, or anyone traumatized by a crisis event. TIP volunteers immediately respond to the scene to support traumatized survivors 24/7/365 at the request of any first responder in Buncombe or Henderson County.
